Chris and Nigel took part in the Lydd Olympic Triathlon today in Kent which was the first event that had been
held there the course was really nice and flat for once.

Chris was 1st vet overall and also came 3rd in the open race with a time of 2.29.57secs which she was really happy with
as she wanted to get under 2.30 so it was close.

Nigel was 1st in his age group and finished in a time of 2.41.02.

Chris also took part in the Half Ironman last weekend in the New Forest which definitely was not flat and also a very
over distanced swim and the half marathon consisted of running on what they call the sandy gallop up hill she was
1st in her age group and finished 6th overall.

More results to follow from this weekend as it was Hever Castle and we had quite a few taking part in this.

Worthing Tri Olympic 1500m Swim 40k Bike 10k run

This was the Olympic distance club champs so well done to Phil Gall and Beckie Woodland.   This was also Jayne and Beckie’s first Olympic distance.   Phil scarles DNF due to a puncture which he repaired then realised it was still going down slowly after pumping up about 10 times then the pump falling of his bike and getting run over by a car decided to call it a day. Also Chris Costiff managed to finish her first triathlon of the season by doing the run after long term injury.  Thank you to Lorraine Hewett who cycled down from Kenley to watch the race leaving at 5.00am in the morning what commitment .

Hi all,
Well done to Lorraine for organising another great club aquathlon, there was a big turn out and an excellent set of results, with some new PBs set!
The men and woman's course records were both broken tonight as I managed to knock a few seconds of my previous time and Becks knocked 13 seconds off Ruth's record and a massive 47 seconds off her previous time.

I’m sure that you will all be excited to hear that the entry forms for the Morden Aquathlon 2009 are now available (link below), alternatively you can enter on Runners World

Runners World On-Line entry Morden 6n6 2009

The aquathlon consists of a 600m swim followed by a great 4 lap 6 mile cross country run and as if that isn’t a good enough reason to enter, the race is also in the London League and features on our points trophy.
